This piece “floats” in a channeled tray frame. The canvas has been stiffened by the organic process, so that it has no real border. It is endless in appearance. Each of the Marco Island Organic Series pieces has Gulf sand and detritus built into the canvas prior to painting, then is highly varnished so you can touch (feel) the painting’s texture without damaging the art. The frame is substantial – the back being 5/8″ plywood to prevent warping, and edges are satin black. It is wired for hanging right out of the crate.
