40″ x 30″ – by Dr. DJ – From the Marco Island Organic Series, this piece “floats” in a channeled tray frame. The canvas has been stiffened by the organic process, so that it has no real border. It is endless in appearance. Each of the Marco Island Organic Series pieces has Gulf sand and detritus built into the canvas prior to painting, then is highly varnished so you can touch (feel) the painting’s texture without damaging the art. The frame is substantial – the back being 5/8″ plywood to prevent warping, and edges are satin black. It is wired for hanging right out of the crate. Free Shipping in the US.
ROLLING ROCK has a sister piece titled There’s a Purple on the Island. They are the same size and weight and were made at almost the same time. They were often shown together and make a great pair. There is $1000 off if both are bought at the same time and shipped together.
